Restructuring

Restructuring

I’ve been getting pretty busy lately and have decided to do some restructuring. Eco Integrated has been my Web development/marketing company for the past couple of years and my focus has been turning more to iPhone development. I’ve decided to rebrand in that process and it’s been easier just to start another company. That company’s name is Bit Perfection.

Bit Perfection’s primary focus will be on iPhone + iPad + Mac software development. I will continue doing work as a Web developer/designer and marketer as a freelance. As of today I will be redirecting all of Eco Integrated’s traffic to my online business card. In the next couple of weeks I will be re-releasing Eco Integrated’s iPhone apps under Bit Perfection.

Look for the Bit Perfection site soon and our first major iPhone app release. We also have something planned shortly thereafter for the iPad.

Shocker for iPhone and iPod Touch

Apple finally approved my latest iPhone & iPod Touch app Shocker. It was my first attempt at an app and has gone through several rejections because of a strange crashing bug. After about a month and a half it has been approved.

It is a simple reaction game where you listen for an alarm, watch the power bar go up and hit a button before it reaches the top. I had fun making it and am looking forward to future releases.

You can find it on iTunes if you’re interested.

Move to Tumblr

I’ve decided that Tumblr may be a better place for my blog and other interweb musings. I haven’t really posted much on my old blog and figured Tumblr may help a bit. It makes it a lot easier to post things from a variety of programs. It also has the post, photo, quote, etc. features that I really like too. I know these features could have been implemented in my old blog but time is short these days. A managed solution that I really don’t have to mess around with seemed like a good option. It sure would be nice if someone made some apps that posted stuff to Django sites with the help of JSON or XML. This would be a great feature to add to blog engines like django-mingus.

Content from my old blog will still remain active because people still find some of the information useful. I am still working with Django but have also gotten into the world of iPhone development. You will see posts about both subjects and other things.

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy the content.

Cappuccino Web Framework

I’ve been hearing a lot about this Web framework lately. It uses objective-j, a new language built on javascript.
